Every person that volunteers with The Giving Farm will be an empowering force to help change our community. Volunteers will be working on an 8-acre farm supporting the day-to-day operations such as planting, weeding, and harvesting to help in providing approximately 200,000 pounds of produce annually to our community members most in need. Work will consist of repetitive manual labor such as kneeling down to plant transplants and bending over to remove unwanted plant debris. Materials will be provided. All volunteers must register through this event page. Volunteers must be free of any common flu symptoms, i.e. fever or cough. Dress Code: You will be working on a farm, wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Closed-toe shoes (work boots or hiking boots preferred). Thick long pants and long-sleeved shirts are preferred. Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen). Further information will be sent via email after registering to volunteer.
