The Master of Social Work Association is inspired by a love for amplifying graduate students’ voices through creative writing, passion for service, warm community, and instilling cultural identity. As graduate students in the department of social work, the demands make one susceptible to immense fatigue, exacerbated by the recent pandemic. However, to combat the adversity and whirlpool of embracing all emotions, MSWA provides an outlet where the students’ stories, agonies, and success–where progress is celebrated, and community with optimism are encouraged at California State University, Fullerton, led by individuals who are passionate about challenging the status quo.

"This meeting could have been an email." (Echos of exhausted individuals with anxiety-induced caffeine intake)

With critical reflection, our meetings are held monthly via the completion of google forms instead of in-person or virtual meetings. To fill the gap of missed connection that some may feel, our events are zoom workshops and in-person where students can connect with colleagues, alums, and other community members.

Welcome; we are so excited to get to know every individual.
